National Trans-Atlantic Slavery Past Museum

Commissioned by the City of Amsterdam, a preliminary study was conducted to identify the starting points for a future museum of the Dutch transatlantic slavery past. In my role as Artistic Director of Museum zonder Muren, I partnered on this project by contributing to the concept presented in the report. Specifically, I was responsible for elaborating the conceptual frameworks, including questions about collection formation, national significance, network museum, locations, and innovative museum concepts. This exploration was conducted in collaboration with NiNsee and IZI Solutions, resulting in a comprehensive report that was presented to the Mayor and Aldermen of Amsterdam in May 2021.
